Power of Attorney Question?

My husband owns a rental property (in just his name due to my credit issues). However, it is very very hard to get any notarized doents signed because of his work schedule. Can he give me power of attorney to sign his name under such conditions as he couldn't get off of work to see a notary before it closed?
