What do I need to plan for Christening my baby?

contact your church b/c the priest might want to meet with you first. then, be sure to invite as many people as you want and let the godparents know well in advance what role you'd like them to have in the ceremony and your baby's life. you may want to get a christening gown for the baby and a customary gift for your pastor. they prefer money. that's all of what i remember the nun telling us when we prepared for our daughters. also, you can decide if you want it done during or right after service or if you'd like a private ceremony at a different time, then celebrate!
