Possible H1N1, how long should I wait until my son is rechecked?

My son became sick a week ago. It started with a sore throat,fever,coughing,weezing (he has asthma). I took him to his pediatrician Tuesday. She gave him a nebulizer treatment in the office and told me to continue at home with prednisone also. She requested to see him again on Wednesday. On Wednesday, my son was no better so she added a Z-pac antibiotic and requested to see him on Thursday. On Thursday, she listened to his lungs and told me to take him to the ER. She said there was no improvement. The ER dr gave him nebulizer treatment which the dr admitted didnt help,& ordered lung xray which came back negative for pneumonia, He said he would admit my son & ordered a H1N1 test ,but then changed his mind about admitting my son & said he couldn't request the test unless he hospitalized my son. He then gave my son a prescription for tamiflu. My son is still very sick. How long should I let this go on??
