02 hyundai elantra with automatic trans doesn't shift fron 2nd to 3rd correctly?

when driving with shifter in drive position th e car is slow to shift (rpm's go higher than normal) if I shift it manually it shifts fine doesn't slip or jerk. the rest of the shifts are fine just 2nd to 3rd car has 95k on it thanks for your help in advance.
